It would be foolish for Seaside to overlook MVC.  This game should have been a blowout in 2009, and MVC held Seaside scoreless into the 4th quarter. 2010 Seaside barely hung on 27-21 after being up big in the 1st half. Last year they rolled Seaside 35-7.  MVC always gets up for Seaside.  I don't expect Friday to be any different. They are a very well coached team.

MVC can definitely throw the ball, but it sounds like they have a decent ground game too.  Washington and Renteria both have about 500 yds rushing.  Seaside has been very stout vs the run this year, but they do seem susceptible to big plays through the air.  Both Palma and Soquel passed for over 200 yds against them and Palma had 2 scoring strikes, 34 yds and 40 yds.

Seaside will come out early and try to impose their will against the Mustangs.  Seaside should be bigger, faster and more athletic than MVC,  but the Seaside coaching staff knows better than to ever overlook these guys.
