I think MVC is better then Alisal because MVC is better then Alisal, pretty simple. Yea, alisal played a tougher schedule so far.... so what? what does that have to do with their talent level vs. MVC's? Strength of schedule is just sssssoooo overrated it's not even funny. Carmel hadn't played anyone to "prepare" to play Salinas IN THE PIT last year and what happened? they beat down Salinas. Monterey wasn't "prepared" for Palma this year and they took a 12-0 lead into halftime and might have won if Kidd hadn't saved the day for Palma. and look at Gilroy this year. They played some quality teams in Live Oak and Sobrato on the road to open the season and were competitive with both. then they went home week 3 and MVC blew their socks off, despite the fact that Gilroy was so much "better prepared" for the game.
moral of the story? If you're a good team, you're a good team, period. MVC is a good team, and a better team then Alisal. Alisal playing Soledad and Aptos doesn't magically make them a better team....
PS - and have you looked at Alisal's schedule? your making it sound like they played a murderers row.... they squeaked by Soledad, beat some cream puffs in Del Mar, Watsonville, and Alvarez, and lost to Aptos 28-20 (and were losing 28-13 going into the last minute of the game).
